Our Apiary

Honeybees and flowers just go together.  So, it’s no surprise the honey produced at Salt Air Farm is amazing!

Types of honey we offer:

  • Hydrangea-Rose Honey

  • Lavender-Blackberry Honey

  • Clover-Woodland Honey

  • and a spring Mock Orange Honey

About our honey:

  • We offer only 100% pure raw honey taken directly from the comb.  Raw honey is the only food product that, untampered, will never spoil.

  • Our honey is slow/cold processed in order to preserve it’s natural enzymes and maximize health benefits.

  • Our honey is course filtered to ensure a good benefit for those looking to treat seasonal pollen allergies.
Note:  best allergy benefit is achieved when an individual lives within a 50 mile radius of our farm.  Having said that, many of the pollens in our honey are common to the entire northeast.  Those pollens grant a benefit to those living in the greater NE vicinity.

  • None of the honey produced on our farm is flavored.  Each honey has a unique flavor based on the noted florals the bees are using to produce the product.

  • All of our honey is delicious!

Honey Health Benefits:

Only in the USA is honey used primarily as a food product.  In most countries around the world honey is consumed primarily for its health benefits.  Honey is/has/can:

  • A good source of antioxidants

  • Antibacterial and antifungal properties

  • A phytonutrient powerhouse

  • Provide help with digestive issues

  • Heal wounds

  • Soothe a sore throat

  • Help with pollen related allergies

What people are saying

“Dear Prudence and Dan,  Words can't describe how special you have made our wedding day.  You have helped us create one day into a year long experience (note:  this couple participated in bee camp and made their own honey favors for their wedding).  We truly can not thank you enough for everything...Everyone should get married at Salt Air!”
